Regions
Treat Ruins, Warrens, Weald, Cove, and optional areas as tactical contexts.

Overview
Regions favor different enemies, resistances, Curios, and threats. Selecting heroes and supplies for the destination is more reliable than repeating one party everywhere.
Choose the party for its destination
| Region | Threats and approach | Suggested preparation |
|---|---|---|
| Ruins | Undead; do not rely on bleeding skeletons. Consider blight and rear reach. | Holy Water, keys, and Curio knowledge. |
| Warrens | Beasts, disease, and stress pressure. Bleed can be useful. | Herbs, bandages, and a disease plan. |
| Weald | Mixed threats, protection, and obstacles; adapt damage to the target. | Shovels, antivenom, bandages, and herbs according to the party. |
| Cove | Pelagics and dangerous bleed; blight is often relevant. | Bandages, herbs, and damage-over-time removal. |
| Courtyard | Crimson Court DLC: separate rules and resources. | Do not blindly copy a base mission shopping list. |
| Farmstead | Color of Madness DLC: distinct encounter progression. | Read the specific mission rules before judging losses and rewards. |
A tendency is not universal immunity
The table provides tactical guidance. Regions contain different families, mission tiers, and special enemies. Read the actual target's resistance before repeatedly using bleed or blight. A destination is not a guarantee that one party handles every variation safely.
Before the expedition
- Identify common damage types and resistances.
- Adapt bleed, blight, marks, and control to likely targets.
- Review region-specific provisions.
- Keep DLC and Darkest Dungeon areas behind clear spoiler boundaries.
